ABOUT

My name is Tim, also known as black.soil.tattoo. I‘m a dark tattooer based in Munich, DE, with around 5 years of experience.

You can find me working as resident tattooer at YOUNGSTARS TATTOO PARLOUR. I’m regularly doing guestspots as well, mostly around German cities, such as Cologne, Offenbach a.M., Berlin, Leipzig and Stuttgart.

My style in tattooing can be best described as illustrative and graphic blackwork.
As I love the concept of unique and artistic works, created from own or customers‘ ideas, my standard is to draw every design myself - digitally, analogue or as a freehand project.
In graphic blackwork, I really enjoy the freedom and variety of possible motifs and concepts - nearly every image can be adjusted to be fitting to individual ideas, however twisted or crazy they are! Often I‘m inspired by different mythologies, dark and horror literature/cinema, folklore and flora/fauna.

How to book an appointment?

You can get in touch with me through my contact form or via INSTAGRAM - just tell me about your motive-idea, the planned size and placement and feel free to send some reference images, if given.

I will respond as soon as possible to discuss your idea and schedule an appoinmtent. A deposit will be required via bank trnafer, working as insurance for short termed cancellations/postponements.

What is needed to start a project?

Basically a rough idea or concept is enough for me to design a motive for you - the clearer your vision, the more precise I can orientate on it during the design process. Images as orientation (e.g. for a style, a theme or character) are always welcome and often useful.

Is it safe to get a tattoo?

To current knowledge, there aren’t any risks in health linked directly to tattoing in general. You should always be careful about your tattoo artist/studio working according to high hygienic standards, and follow your tattoo artists aftercare instructions yourself - this is important to make sure that your tattoo is going to heal well and to avoid infections (superficial and bloodborne). Bare in mind: A freshly done tattoo is a wound to your skin.

How about the pricing?

I’m working with fix pricing per session, based on factors as your projects size, placement, design and grade of detailling. The final prizes always gets told in the beginning of your appointment, before tattooing - beforehand, I’m happy to give you an estimation/price range!

Your prepaid deposit is always part of the price for your tattoo!

Is it possible to postpone/cancel appointments?

In general, it’s always possible to postpone or even cancel your appointment! I’m kindly asking to get incontact with me as far before your appoinment as possible, so I can reschedule efficiently - at least 7 business days.

Please note: There is no refund for paid deposits in case of cancellations. If your appointment has to be postponed two consecutive times or two times with a shorter lead time than 4 days, your deposit will also be kept in. Short-termed rescheduling often means loss of whole workdays - so I hope for your understanding on this!

Unsure about a project/an idea?

If you have questions or feel unsure about any part of your tattoo project, or want to get to know me before starting, you can always contact me to book a free and non-binding consultation. The consultation will take place in person and in a tattoo studio. Consultation appointments normally last about half an hour to an hour.

How to prepare for a tattoo(-appointment)?

To make a tattoo session as pleasant as possible for you, it’s always important to show up well-rested and well-fed. I also recommend a choice of clothing you feel comfortable in, or that can be changed/ partially taken off. You can also bring food of your choice with you - I only kindly ask to not bring company to your appointment. You should not consume any alcohol or drugs at least one day before getting tattoed.

How to care for fresh tattoos?

You’ll be given a detailed instruction about the aftercare process in the end of your tattoo appointment.

You should make sure to keep your fresh tattoo moisturized and away from dirt, sun, sweat and avoid hits or scratching/dabbing. You should count in break from sports (especially contact sports) for about 7-10 days. bathing, swimming and spa should be avoided for about 3-4 weeks after the appointment.

The first 3-5 days after usually are the most elaborate ones - but it’s worth it!

Is redesigning possible?

Of course! Redesigning or adjustments, also on wannado-designs, is always possible. Your design will be discussed together with you in the beginning of the appointment - even then, changes on your design are still possible. In case you know about your change of ideas before your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible - best would be 1-2 weeks beforehand.
